What are “core” exercises?

“Core” is a generic term used frequently in physical therapy to describe the group of muscles that support your trunk (thoracic/ lumbar spine and pelvis). More and more research shows that a strong core can be a source of power in sports. Core exercises that control and strengthen can have a positive effect on many orthopedic injuries.
